Detailed programme (day I)
Time	Activity		Description and remarks
7:00		Departure from Sousse/Monastir Hammamet (about 6:15)	Departure from your hotel. Exact time is given on your ticket, which must be handed to the guide.
7:30		Kairouan - Great Mosque	Short break at the Sidi Oqba mosque which is the first mosque built in Northern Africa. Place very symbolic for Tunisian Muslims. Possibility of buying souvenirs in near by shops..
12:00		Gafsa - lunch	On the way a lot of exotic scenes from the province: traditionally dressed people, camels, donkeys etc. On the way lunch in Gafsa.
For wheel drive 3,5 hours in total. Majority of the route is off-road.		Chebika - mountain oasis	One hour of free time to visit the oasis located in Atlas Mountains. Chebika is belived to be the most beautiful Tunisian mountains oasis. You can walk through the mointains and/or visit remains of the village destroyed by heavy rain.
		Thamerza - mountain oasis	Tamerza is another mountain oasis famous for its spectacular canyon and waterfall.
		Camel Mountain	Climbing on so called "Ong Jmel" mountain which looks like sitting camel. The mountain was used as a scenery for many films eg. "The English Patient". Breathtaking views of Shott El Gharsa salt lake. If the weather is sunny enough you can observe mirage.
		Shott El Gharsa	Off road on the way used in Paris-Dakar rally. Through the Shott El Gharsa salt lake. An unforgettable experience.
		Riding the dunes	Very exciting ride through the dunes, a chance to make incredible pictures.
		"Star Wars"	Excellent decoration in the middle of the desert used in "Star Wars" saga. In the film the scenes from "Mos Espa" and "Mos Eisley" towns were shot there.
18:00		Nefta	Visiting oasis by carriage (extra paid). Observing irrigation system and specific for oasis storey vegetation. Short show including climbing palm tree and drinking palm tree juice.
19:00		Check in hotel	Check in the hotel (air-conditioned rooms), dinner and free time at the swimming pool.
Day II
5:00		Departure from hotel	Wake up call about an hour before departure. After breakfast, departure towards Shott El Jerid salt lake. On the way observing sun rise.
6:15		Chott El Jerid - salt lake	Visiting the Shott El Jerid lake which is the biggest salt lake in Northern Africa. Time to make photos and buy desert roses, dates or souvenirs.
6:45		Fatnassa - yardangs	Very photogenic yardangs and dunes. One can make photo with live scorpion and drink mint tea.
8:00		Douz - camel riding	Douz the desert capital of Tunisia where you will see endless Sahara desert (Grand Erg Oriental). Additional attractions include camel, quad/buggy riding, and/or paramotors flight (all of them extra paid).
12:00		Matmata - lunch and cave houses	In Matmata visiting cave underground house, stop at the view point, enjoing "moon landscape" and lunch.
17:00		El Jem - amphiteatre	Taking a visit at a very well preserved amphiteatre which is put on the UNESCO cultural heritage list. Way back to Sousse and arrival to hotels before dinner.
